Mary Lou Buyert
On June 15, 1956, she and Donald Lee Buyert were united in marriage at her parent's home in Pella. They were blessed with four daughters: Debra Kay, Linda Ann, Brenda Sue, and Kathy Lynn. Mary Lou and Don were 'South Pella' residents all their married lifetime and had lived at their residence, 306 East Second Street, since 1958. Mary Lou continued her employment with Pella Corporation as the girls had grown up and retired in 1995, after 22 years and 8 months of employment there. Mary Lou was a Chicago Cubs fan, and she and Don enjoyed traveling, particularly to Branson, Missouri to enjoy gospel music. Her home was a special place where she enjoyed reading and spending her own quiet time.
Sunday, November 4, 2018, was a normal Sunday for Mary Lou and Don until she became suddenly ill and passed away at the Pella Regional Health Center some 10 hours later at the age of 80 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her faithful, devoted husband for 62 years, Donald Buyert, and their four daughters and their husbands, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. They are: Debra and John Fox of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Eric and Kristen Fox, Gracie; Linda and David Cowles of Haslet, Texas, Matthew Cowles; Brenda and Curtis Jones of Pella, Iowa, Jeremiah and Layne Jones, Maisy, Joshua Jones; Kathy and Richard Martin of Kingman, Arizona, Andrew Martin and Emi Harvey, Andrew, Jr., Samuel and Lendsey Martin, Miles, Zachery Martin.
Mary Lou leaves the following sisters-in-law: Patricia (John Wm. Sheppard) DeWitt of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Peggy (William) Sheppard of Des Moines, Iowa, Barbara (Buyert) Jansen and Janice (Bob) Buyert both of Pella, Iowa.

Sheppard and William L. Sheppard, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Henry and Pauline (Slycord) Buyert; and two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Jansen and Robert E. Buyert.
