Phillip Warren Schreiner


Phillip Warren Schreiner passed peacefully in the early morning of January 21, 2019. Phil was preceded in death by his dad Warren, mom Vera, and brothers Bob and Jay. Phil is survived by his wife Linda, sons Dan and Doug, grandkids Sydney, Zachary, Parker, and Peyton, brothers Terry, Mike, Tom, and Rex, and numerous other family and close friends whom he loved dearly.
Phil was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on September 18, 1946. He was the second oldest of seven boys. Phil attended Iowa State University in the ROTC program and earned his BS in Civil Engineering. Phil proudly served as a Supply Officer in the US Navy from 1969-1979, including a tour on a battleship during the Vietnam war. During his time in the Navy he was stationed in San Diego, Guam, Anaheim, and Moffet Field. Upon leaving the Navy, Phil attended San Jose State University where he earned his MBA. Phil was hired by Lockheed Missiles and Space company in 1980, working mostly in the San Francisco, CA Bay Area and he retired as a Sr. Logistics Analyst in 2008. Phil enjoyed puzzles and games of wit.
He was a coach for youth teams, a mentor for his bridge club, and a leader in his ATV club. He lived his life to the fullest and was passionate about camping trips with family and friends up until the very end. Phil loved being with friends and family and he touched many lives. Phil was loved and respected by many and he will be missed.
