Joe G. Maise
Joe G. Maise, 76, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, with his family by his side.

Joe was born on July 9, 1943, in Hampton, to Simon "Sam" and Florence (Steenhard) Maise. He graduated from Franklin Consolidated School in 1962. Joe attended trade school in Springfield, Missouri. From 1963 to 1979, he worked for various businesses as a service tech working on machines and equipment.

Joe married the love of his life, Brenda Peyton on June 25, 1968, in Hampton. To this union four children were born: Joseph, Sheila, Jodi and Jennifer. He loved fishing, gardening, animals, and tinkering on cuckoo clocks.

Joe is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Brenda Maise of Hampton, son Joseph J. Maise (Dawn Galindo) of Hampton, daughters Sheila (Mike) Norman of Pella, Jodi Crum of Hampton, and Jennifer (Edmund) Brinkman of Latimer, grandchildren Brandon (Jessie) Norman, Haley (Patrick) Schrader, Cody (TaLyn) Crum, Kyle Crum, Conner Crum, Spencer Brinkman, Trevor Brinkman, Alekzandr Busma, Benjamin Busma, Zach Welsher and Erin Galindo, great-grandchildren Freya and Guinevere Norman, Taylin and Ava Schrader, KDence, Knox and Nash Crum. He is also survived by his brothers Simon A. (Faye) Maise, John Maise, Richard Maise and Lynn (Joni) Maise, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Florence, sister Shirley and Sheila, brother Johan, sisters-in-law Linda, Patrice and Pricilla, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joe was witty, had a lead foot and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone whether he knew them or not. He will be missed by many.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Brenda Maise in memory of Joe.

Private family services were held with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. The Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton assisted Joe's family.
