Luetta Slagter
October 10, 1933 - May 5, 2020
Luetta Carol (Clark) Slagter passed away May 5, 2020, in Pella. Luetta was born October 10, 1933. She was the third child born to (Thomas) Wilson and Carrie (Verros) Clark in Harvey, Iowa.
On June 9, 1954, she was married to Don Slagter in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Luetta was a housekeeper and did some home cleaning. On July 14, 1955, Donna Lou was born and October 5, 1963, Carol Ann.
Luetta is survived by her husband Don, two daughters: Donna and Steve Van Weelden of Pella, and Carol and David Greving of Pella; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren with one on the way. Luetta is also survived by her brother LeRoy and Carolyn Clark of Oskaloosa; sisters-in-law June Slagter of Pella and Joann Slagter of Oskaloosa, and her brother-in-law Melvin Slagter of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Carrie Clark, her sisters: Della Mae and Pete Van Maanen, and Verna and Forrest Sytsma, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Luetta was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. What a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus!
Family graveside services were held on May 9, at the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Pella. The Garden Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
